In the molecule of the silicone ether copolymer, the silicone segments are lipophilic and the polyether segments are hydrophilic. Polyether modified silicone defoamers are easily emulsified in water, also known as "self-emulsifying defoamers." Its cloud point above the temperature, the loss of water solubility and mechanical stability, and acid, alkali and inorganic salts, can be used for defoaming under harsh conditions.
In order to improve the lipophilicity of water-based inks, coatings, cutting fluids and so on, the partial methyl groups in the polyether-modified silicone copolymer molecules are replaced by long-chain alkyl groups, so that the defoaming effect can be effectively exerted.
